Every child has a dream.

Every child has an ambition.

So do I. Will get to it later.

When I asked around my little siblings & cousins (aged 6 – 9) of their ambition and I get answers like dentist, teacher, policeman and much more. My favourite little cousin wants to be a dentist as she is having dental problem. That some how motivates her. My little brother dreams to be a policeman upon seeing my husband in his police uniform during the wedding. My darling sister is taking her Diploma in Business, yet hers is to be a receptionist in a prestigious company in Raffles Place area.

As for me, as you may be wondering, is ironic. I grew up with my grandpapa and grandmama. They were vendors in construction site, a ‘cafĂ©’ for the construction workers in the Western area of Singapore. I would, then, sit on the bench, with my legs swaying back and forth, mesmerized with the sounds of a cement mixer truck. The huge rotating barrel that goes round and round for some time and pukes out a well-mixed cement, could actually make me sits still, makes me a well-behaved kid while both my grams busy attending customers.

From that day onwards, I have vowed to be a CEMENT MIXER TRUCK DRIVER.
